Summary

Yomiko (Shi) was born in 11th century Japan. Her father (Atsumori) used to be kind, but after the death of Shi's mother (Yukino) he became a bitter person. Shi's one and only trusted friend was her cousin (Akira) whose mother (Mutsumi) was human and father (Ennosuke) was Yukino's brother. After Yukino dies, Ennosuke was forced to leave the palace (the majority of the Youko family lives in the palace), but Akira decided to stay behind and was allowed to.

Standardized Tests

I think standardized tests are unfair because they don't test you on what you know and they try to trick you. What grades you get in regular classes are more important than how you do on some stupid test that you take on one day that you might not be feeling good.
